improvement Notify on task 'ready' email notifications

We've added the ability to notify users vial email when a task moves to the 'ready' state. By default, the person who ran the process will be notified. Other users can be notified by adding their roles into the task template configuration.

improvement Login user interface improvements

We have introduced a new look and feel to the user login interface. You can now also change and reset your password via the login screen.

improvement Task search favourites 

We've added favourites to tasks filters so you can save your search and filter criteria to avoid having to re-apply it each time.

We have added an email Function Task that will allow users to configure a process so that custom and configurable emails can be sent.

IMPROVEMENT Other improvements

We have introduced basic validation to stop processes with blank gateway expression being published.

We have removed data object reference and the participant option from the BPMN toolbox as they are not supported.

IMPROVEMENT Dashboards

We've added a new dashboards feature, allowing users to create their own dashboards and connect them to Boost.

  • Improved translation handling when switching between views
  • Changed training redirect to Run instead of Tasks views
  • Updated External API calls so they can now use URL encoded form data

  • Added help text when deleting a process template
  • Updated how select option fields are displayed to avoid some confusion when selecting 'None' as an option
  • Added a refresh button to BPMN viewer on tasks
  • Added a tooltip to play video button on Home guide cards
  • Updated style for empty section on a task

Atlas Play Release: Registration, Tours & Learning

New Users Sign Up + Learning about Atlas

New users are now able to sign up and register their companies for a 30 days free trial, directly from our website. You can try it now!

In order to make Atlas easier to use for them and for you, we now have interactive tours for Run, Map & Share plus explanatory videos – you can check them out from your home.

Also, a new learning hub with links to guides and a way to start our training processes is ready for you to use!

IMPROVEMENT User Interface & User Experience Improvements

No recent tasks in your home? No problem – we've improved what that looks like, making it more accessible for you, and we've made a series of styling improvements for all task in progress. 

You will also notice some user interface updates to our top bar and side menu, with updated dashboards and the ability to access them from the side menu. Plus, we've added troubleshooting support to our error pages to make your experience better.

As something that was requested multiple time, you are also able to copy and paste into the search text box when looking for a process. 

IMPROVEMENT Smart Function Tasks

When mapping a process, you can now select a new function task type: this nifty new feature allows you to execute predefined functions, such as calculating a sum or starting a sub-process.

Atlas Play Release: Custom Date Filtering & Improved Look

You now have the ability to filter your tasks by a custom date range. When filtering tasks by date, you can choose the exact dates or time period, increasing your efficiency and making you laser focused.

IMPROVEMENT Format Display Fields
And lastly, we have added markdown rendering support for dynamic display fields when mapping user tasks. A fancy way of saying you'll be able to add formatting such as bullet points or different character styles to your display fields – and improve legibility and usability for your teammates.

You spoke, we listened: you now have the ability to add multiple Boost dashboards within Atlas Play and see direct links to them from the sidebar menu.

With Roles Management you'll be able to create and edit roles outside of the default environment roles, plus invite new users directly. With an extra layer of security, admins have the ability to restrict who can access management of roles.

With our new monitoring feature, we are going to give you the ability to extract information and statistics out of your running processes, focusing on each running task. 

This will allow you to navigate between your tasks, getting relevant snapshots and all the data you need to see at a glance.

The task view has been improved to allow a preview of the process. This means that you will be able to see where your task is located in the process and what your next steps are. Plus, you'll access all historical data to tasks.

Reassigning a process to another user is now more straight forward, saving you some hassle. From Run, you can reassign the ownership of any process to another user and remove it from your view. The new owner will receive an email notification and they will be ready to go on the fly!
